Through images, artist writings, roundtable conversations and oral histories highlighting key artists from the fifth edition of Greater New York at MoMA PS1, this book expands core themes in the exhibition, such as the interrelation of the surrealistic and the documentary; New York as site of Indigenous and diasporic cultural production; and the everyday challenges of living as an artist in a rapidly changing city.
