The Sea loves her fish children dearly and reads to them every day. But sometimes they can be too loud... When the Sea disappears for a moment of peace, her fish make a deal with a cat who promises to read them a bedtime story on condition that it can eat them afterwards. When the fish are safely reunited with the Sea, the first thing she does is teach them how to read for themselves, before relaxing in the quiet that follows.
