A compact collection of more visual puns from the author of Coincidences at Museums?
Austrian photographer Stefan Draschan (born 1979) is a self-confessed flâneur. His penchants for museum-going and people-watching blossomed into a wildly successful blog-turned-book: Coincidences at Museums (2019), in which he photographed other museum-goers who inadvertently matched with the paintings in front of them. Since then, Draschan has developed numerous other projects that retain the same penchant for amusing pattern recognition. Double Take compiles a smattering of images from his prolific output, including those from his Cars Matching Homes series as well as new highlights from his museum series, which have become increasingly diverse. Draschan's work has inspired a wide audience to identify joyful compositions in everyday life. This playfully designed book reveals just how many visual surprises and unusual perspectives this master of the unexpected moment has to offer.
