"On n'est pas dans le futurisme, mais dans un drame bourgeois ou un thriller atmosphérique"
From being pantsed on his first day of school to being told by everyone from his mom to his soccer coach that he isn't living up to his potential, sixth-grader Charlie Burger's been having a rough introduction to middle school. Even his best friend, Franki Saylor, has been a little weird lately. She's suddenly dressing like a girl, and since when is she into dancing? As part of a school assignment, Charlie starts to write about the adventures of a superhero named Dude Explodius. To his surprise, he discovers that his stories can change reality. Finally, Charlie has a way to get back at his erstwhile tormentors (and maybe even impress Franki while he's at it). But soon Charlie realizes that the consequences of his wishes aren't always what he intends. Will he be able to save the world from his own meddling?
