The first, lavishly produced monograph on the work of Leon Loewentraut, (b.1998) a young and upcoming star on the German and international art scene. His pop, hyper-expressionist paintings - inspired by Picasso, Matisse, Baselitz, and Basquiat - mix vibrantly colourful figurative subjects with abstract elements. He has an enthusiastic following among young audiences, is highly visible on social media, and the openings of his exhibitions are art world events. He has done several projects in support of UNICEF and UNESCO, including the Global Gate, a work that incorporates 17 UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals, which was on display at the Frankfurt airport. In 2020, he was included in the German Forbes "30 under 30" list of people destined to change the world.
